February 2025
- 4th Feb – Weather restricted work, tidied the tool-shed in Dog Kennel Wood.
- 11th Feb – Removed brambles and other weeds in coppice area of Dog Kennel Wood and cut up a fallen tree.
- 18th Feb – Continued work in coppice area, cut back dead foliage in flower bed in Noble’s Rest, and the Fernery.
- 25th Feb – Continued work in coppice area and fernery, prepared for repair to toilet in Dog Kennel Wood.

- 4th Mar – Held AGM, repaired dry stone walls in Dog Kennel Wood, sowed wild flower seeds in trays.

- 1st Apr – Worked on the revival of Serpentine Wood Nature Trail. Weeded tree beds in Dog kennel Wood.

- 15th Apr – Restocked Somerville Garden with wild flowers, installed signs for Serpentine Wood Nature Trail, cleared scrub in Scotch Burial Ground.

- 1st Jul – Pricked out wildflower seedlings at Dog Kennel Wood and weeded. Searched for western gorse seeds at Undermill Beck for Kew.
- 8th Jul – Strimmed paths in Dog Kennel Wood and weeded beds. Searched for western gorse, scotch broom seeds at Claife Heights for Kew.
- 15th Jul – Joined the Kendal Nature Recovery Festival. Collected various seeds from Birds Park.
- 22nd Jul – Installed a water tank at Dog Kennel Wood for rainwater from the hut roof. Safety check and updating of electrics. Collected bilberry seeds from Gurnal Dubs for Kew.
- 29th Jul – Cleared vegetation overhanging Queen’s Road, restructured outdoor wildflower beds in Dog Kennel Wood. Collected bilberry seeds from Gummers How for Kew.
August 2025
- 5th Aug – Dug out new beds in Dog Kennel Wood for trees and wildflowers.
- 12th Aug – Weeded in Dog Kennel Wood. Pricked out wildflower seedlings and constructed new work bench in polytunnel.
- 19th Aug – Continued pricking out seedlings in Dog Kennel Wood, and weeding. Weeded new planting area on Garth Heads.
- 26th Aug – Removed dangerous branch from Serpentine Wood. Mapped out new layout of tree beds at Dog Kennel Wood. Collected dyer’s greenweed from Cliburn Moss for Kew.

- 2nd Sep – Replaced Nature Trail signpost in Serpentine Wood. Mulched beds in Dog Kennel Wood. Weeded and planted wildflowers on Garth Heads. Cut and raked Meadow area on Kendal Fell.
- 9th Sep – Gardening work in Dog Kennel Wood. Prepared tree seeds and wildflowers for planting out.
- 16th Sep – Cleared pond in Dog Kennel Wood and built newt hotel. Raked cuttings on Kendal Fell, and cleared vegetation from Nature Trail in Serpentine Wood. Collected bilberry seeds from Gurnal Dubs for Kew.
- 23rd Sep – Continued raking cuttings on Kendal Fell. Started work to repair holes in driveway in Dog Kennel Wood.

- 7th Oct – Constructed protective frames for seedlings at Dog Kennel Wood. Planted wildflower plugs for Cumbria Wildlife Trust at Bowderdale.

- 4th Nov – Raked and weeded Somervelle Garden. General maintenance work in Dog Kennel Wood.
- 11th Nov – Prepared to replace the covering on the polytunnel at Dog Kennel Wood, weeded the Serpentine Road Triangle.
- 18th Nov – Cleared the top part of the Eddington “Wildlife” Garden. More work on polytunnel repairs. Planted hornbeam seeds.
- 25th Nov – Replaced the Dog Kennel Wood polytunnel covering, weeded the Serpentine Road Triangle.
December 2025
- 2nd Dec – Made good the new polytunnel at Dog Kennel Wood, cut back overgrown vegetation.
- 9th Dec – Removed brambles from rear part of Dog Kennel Wood.
- 16th Dec – Felled dead ash and removed brambles from Dog Kennel Wood. Tree seeds sown & cuttings taken.
- 23rd Dec – Made safe the start of Alphabet Trail in Serpentine Wood. Made new door frame for polytunnel in Dog Kennel Wood, removed brambles.
